What kind of books or authors do you like to read?
I love reading books that give me something to chew on, a good character driven narrative full of complex characters or something a little weird or deep. I'll never say no to a family saga, the bigger the better in my opinion. I'm also very into dystopian and speculative fiction. Really I'll read anything! Think Deborah Levy, Rachel Cusk, Anne Tyler, Ali Smith, Tim Winton, Helen Garner, Emily St John Mandel just to name a few (I could keep going)

What excites you most about working in a bookshop
It's the dream job, getting to talk to people about books, pushing favourites into people's hands, plus finding new reads to love myself. And of course the smell of books in the air.

Where are you most likely to be found reading?
In bed with a cuppa, on the couch with a cuppa, over breakfast with a cuppa, in the sun with a cuppa (you get the idea)

What books are currently on you beside table?
On top of the towering pile are Music Against the Night by Yiyun Li and The Song of Stork and Dromedary by Anjey Daanje, along with my two current reads, Exit Party by Emily St John Mandel and Will and Testament by Vigdis Hjorth

What is your desert island book (only one)?
This is an impossible question! I think it would have to be Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, it's my go to comfort read and I'll happily continue to reread it.
